Wife was written by Bharathi Mukharjee,the content of this novel opened the eye in regarding marriage life of young girl.Here comes Dimple Das gupta who builds marriage life castle in imagination in her mind,all her dreams vanish when she went to U.S.A with her horrible husband Amit Basu,a sadist after her marriage Basu did not care Dimple even as human and ne treated her as non paid maid to satisfy him in all na spects because Dimple was dusky girl but Basu forgot to see the fairness of Dimple s heart.page page after there heard scream of Dimple in her soul about her life of marriage with monster Amit,she hopes that he would changes his attitudes one day,day goes along with her hopes all her hopes ,desires and dreams for her marriage life vanishes which result her to kill her sadist husband to send him to hell( amit died).Thus she became hopeless wife at last in her life .
